HOTO Tools Smart Laser Measure Could something this small contain big features?

With only a single button and no larger than a key fob, I wasn’t expecting a serious tool.
This could be the world’s smallest Laser Distance Measure, and definitely the teensiest one I’d ever seen. It looks so sleek and barely weighs anything. But, does this tiny form factor and great style mean it sacrifices functionality?
HOTO Tools, which is short for Home Tools, sent me this mini-sized laser measure for me to unbox and review. After being so impressed by the HOTO Tools 12V Brushless Drill, I was excited to try out another tool from HOTO.

The 1/16 inch accuracy and repeatability of this laser measure is astonishing to me. I now bring this with me on every trip to the hardware store since it takes up less space in my pocket than my keys!
Combined with the phone app, it has so many features and saves so much time.
Being able to use it for simple measurements without the app makes it practical too. I don’t always want to open an app just to take a quick measurement. But, when I want to measure a whole room and even draw out a floor plan, it works seamlessly with an iPhone or Android phone. It can even draw measurements on a photo too, making even complex measuring so fast and easy!
Its ability to keep track of all my measurements relieves me from having to take notes, and then having to find those notes later.
The built in battery means I never have to replace batteries and makes this capable tool so light that I wasn’t sure if there was anything in the box when I first received it!
This won’t totally replace a tape measure, but it has become the tool I use the most for fast measurements.
